Oh and here is another version of the cheeky octopus for your viewing pleasure.
As the title suggests a roughly 45minute session with one of my doodles for reference produced this creature. He is glorious!

When browsing Subtle Patterns, I loved the new wooden pattern and decided to try and use it somewhere and ended up going for a wooden style navigation menu.
This is what I came out with!

I Came across some Venn Diagrams whilst in a Wikipedia spiral and decided to get into Photoshop and knock one up for my skill set. Nice and simple using three key words.
Wood pattern obtained from Subtle Patterns.

Loaded up Photoshop this evening and started work on designing a brand spankin’ new WordPress theme from the ground up. Hopefully besides looking good this new theme will allow me to learn some more of the inner workings of the WordPress CMS.
Currently called it Dark & Sexy as I couldn’t think of anything else.

Recently I have been learning jQuery and have put together this small resource of 6 effects from what I have learned so far.
The purpose of the demo and free files is for all the other beginners out there to examine the code and adapt it for your own projects!
I use quite a few online development tools to speed up my coding time but CSS3.me has to be one of the very best.
You can use the interface on CSS3.me to create a snippet of code which can add border-radius, box-shadow, background gradients & opacity!
P.S On a sidenote if all you are after is the border-radius then the border-radius.com website is pretty awesome.

Without changing the code or css since the way the layout is set on the iPad is not bad at all. It seems to cope well when switching between orientations and has no real big issues. Also on a side note the HTC Desire which I use also does the site justice :D

Continuing on from the speech bubble post previously I have experimented with an indented almost letter pressed effect on the discs.
The blue and white combined with some Noise looks like its working for me! More to come soon!

I am looking into designing myself a logo to create a better, more recognisable identity. I do like this one but I am not totally convinced.
The main text is Lobster 1.4 and the speech bubble is actually a font from Just Be Nice Studio.

Make sure you watch is full screen!!!
The images above show a system designed for a university project which has the concept of “Smarter Parking”.
Using and Arduino Board, light sensors some wood and a couple toy cars the system recognises that the space is being occupied and transmits this data to a flash front end GUI where you can view this in a digital form and also see how long each space has been occupied for.
Nick Marshall programmed the Java and Hardware and I created the flash front end GUI for the system, the GUI was created primarily for the viewing of data and currently does not focus on being aesthetically pleasing.

Distraction Reaction Raceway is a game which was created for the university games module. My role was the programming of the game alongside my friends Jake and Jay who were in charge of the graphic styles and music.
Whilst working for liquid digital I created an animation promoting Spectator Magazine for WHSmiths. The only program used to create this was Adobe After Effects.

This project was inspired by a friend of mine, I saw her use of black and white and how much of an impact the combo can be! So I picked up my trusty fine liner and started drawing I had a lot of fun making these I hope you like.

Whilst working at Liquid Digital I helped develop a project managment website linked to a mySQL database in order to organise and improve the way in which projects were managed at the company.
This website was developed with HTML, CSS, JQUERY and SQL.
